i saw them the 2 nights at shoreline in 94 - right when they called it quits. Bob Weir played and Les Claypool was hanging out but didn't play. Anyway, I've said it before, but that show was like the slow tired nauseous feeling when the shrooms are starting to take effect (from what I've read on the internets). The whole Up with People on Patchouli thing was very tired. Folks have told me they were burnt and I caught them at a bad time. I will say that I was very impressed with Oysterhead at Bonnaroo and found Trey to be a very funny, smart guy - but that ain't Phish. And for me that show was about Stewart Copeland being a beast.
I won't travel to see them, i won't pay to see them, but if free and local, I'll check it out. How's that for some high praise?
